Feeding the herd

The college herd was home for thanksgiving weekend, so of course I couldn't let them go hungry so I made chili and corn bread.

Christmas Lights

Adam went hunting this weekend and I was going to wait for him to put up the Christmas lights but then I had a moment of "what am I waiting for?" I know how to put up a ladder and if I can climb up a roof with a chain saw then I certainly can do it with Christmas lights. So I put on my carhart pants and put up the lights. Its kind of bad picture but you get the point!

Hope Island Fire Dept's Open House

We are finally all moved into our new station. Its so much bigger than our old station! We are happy with our new home.

Sugar Loaf not Mt Erie.

Now starts our training for the firefighter stair climb. Katy and I went for a run up Mt Erie and made the mistake of not bringing a map. We ended up running up Sugar Loaf instead of Mt. Erie! oh well it was still a good work out.

Gear Racks

The gear racks are up in the new station. It's almost ready for our open house on Nov 21st.

EVILTRON

What can make a grown man freak out enough to act like this? EVILTRON! A small little speaker that quietly whispers things to you such as "hey can you hear me" We hid it in his phone but Paul was sure it was in his computer, so thats why he is under his desk taking apart his computer. :)

Adam and the firefighter ladies

what can we say we ran out of chairs!

Dinner

Yummy...
we had lobster every night except for one, while we were visiting the east coast.

Gilato!

I got to try gilato for the first time while we were in Boston, and I have to say it is as good as it looks!

Atlantic Ocean

Brush Braker

This is the Cape Cod version of a brush truck. The difference between this and the west coast brush truck.... They simply run over anything in their path. West coast has to drive around everything. Now whats the fun in that. I wanted to drive this thing so bad!

Fenway Park!

We started off our Vacation with a Fenway Park Red sox Game! I think this was the high light of the trip for Adam.

The old guy on the roof...

We got a call from Doug last night. "Help my ladder fell over and I'm stuck on the roof" So I guess this is what I have to look forward to when I turn 60! And yes he is flipping me off because I wouldn't let him down until I got a picture. :)

Pretty Sunset

The new station is getting closer to being completed everyday. Kind of bitter sweet, new station, sweet! leaving this, bitter...

Let the salmon fishing season begin!

Adam and Chris managed to sneak out of training early to get some fishing in. There was a very pretty sunset so I just sat on the rocks and watched.
