My poor baby had to get her 6 month vaccines. I hate going in for these, but I know they are important. She had to get 3 shots in the leg. I hate to watch her smile disappear and the look of pain take over my sweet baby. This was the hardest time I have had with shots and I had to go to the doctor without adam because he was working. SHe ended up getting a fever that night of a 101. This was the first time she had a fever and she was so unhappy about it. I tried putting a cold wash cloth on her forehead but she kept fighting me on it. She didn't want a bottle, she was just miserable. So I brought her to bed with me and she settled down pretty quickly. She held onto my fingure until she feel asleep as if she was saying "don't leave me mom, I don't feel good". luckily by morning her temp had dropped back down to 99 and was feeling a little bit better. I on the other hand had been up half the night and now had to work. But grandpa was there in the morning for claire to cuddle with. so I knew she was in good hands.

Party Time (first swim)

Claire and I went to Jackson 2nd birthday at Big lake on Saturday. I was a little worried the cold water would freak her out but she did really good. She started splashing and having fun with her cousin. The cold water didn't seem to bother her at all.

Weekend of firsts! (swing)

I got off work a little early on friday so claire and I headed down to the park and got to try out the swing for the first time. Claire loved it! It may not look like it with her death grip on the swing. but she really did have a great time. :)

were does time go?

Look how little she was! oh my sweet little 7lb 19inch long tiny baby is getting so big! Claire is going to be 6 months old in 5 days! A half a year old! I am trying so hard to hold on to every little baby cuddle and giggle. Now she's 15 pounds and I have to really work to carry her around in her car seat. Please time, slow down!

Big O Fire

The crappy part is I missed the fire! damn. I was home with Claire and Adam was in Canada fishing. Our BC actually sniffed out the fire. He was just returning from a medical call and he layed back down and he suddenly smelled smoke. He started checking out the neighboor hood and he found a glowing house! He knocked on all the doors to see if anyone was home and called the dispatch to report the fire. If he had not smelled that fire a lot more people could have lost their homes. In the end 2 houses burned and 2 more with damamge. The houses were very close to each other and built on a cliff which is a firefighters worst enemy!

Something old

I was so excitied when my dad gave me my old highchair to use for Claire. It needed a new leather strap and a cushion but other than that it was in pretty good shape. Luckily I knew someone who works with leather and put a beautiful strap on for no charge! I ordered a new cushion online and waaalaaa we have claires highchair. This is the only thing I have from my babyhood to pass on to claire so it means the world to me. I know my mom would love to see claire sitting in that chair. I think claire likes it to!

Traveling with babies

Have you ever traveled with a baby? We are going on a cruise in september with our little one which im not to worried about. At least we don't have to fly anywere. Next summer A friend on mine is getting married in Jamaica. Claire will be 1 and 1/2 at the time and we keep going back and fourth. Bring claire with or leave her with her grandparents. I see pros and cons to both. I am leaning towards taking her with and adam thinks we should leave her with the grandparents. what to do, what to do.

guess who slept for 9 hours...

Happy day she slept all night! she ate 8oz of formula and passed out at 9pm and slept until 6:30ish. Please let this last!
