big belly- 4weeks left!

4 weeks until my due date! And I have to say little claire bear, your daddy is getting ready for you! Today he started your college fund :) and he also called me at work and reminded me that we need to do a will. I guess its a mans way of nesting!

Maternity Photos

I was hesitant at first to do maternity photos but now I'm so glad I did! Shannon at Sweetpea memories did such a wonderful job. If you live in Skagit county I highly recommend her. She does a great job at making you feel comfortable so pictures turn out nice because they don't look so posed. I am so excitited for claire to get here so she can have her newborn pictures taken. 35 weeks

wow where has the time gone! 5 weeks left, thats 35 day! I keep flipping back and forth with excitement and nerves. I'm so excitied to finally hold her and meet the little person who has been kicking me for 9 months. Then I get really nervous about labor, breastfeeding, no sleep, and just trying to figure it all out. I really wish I knew when she was going to make her big entrance. Then I could plan when my last day of work would be, Adam could plan his days off. We could have the house cleaned and ready to go. Oh well so much for planning, I guess I will just have to learn to go with the flow.

swelling

The bump seems to have dropped some and is putting pressure on my spine and tail bone. It is a very uncomfortable feeling! I also feel like a blimp bacause I'm starting to swell as well. I just want to go home and crawl into bed and not get out until its time for claire to be born. Maybe tomorrow will be better :) I can only hope!

Snow Baby

Sunday morning was my baby shower and I woke up to snow! The weather man said locations over 500ft might see some snow, so being at sea level I figured we were safe. It was suppose to warm up and start to rain... It didn't! It snowed allllllll day! I figured that most people would stay home because some of the roads were pretty bad. But Claire has a lot of people excited to meet her. A lot of people made there way through the icy roads and made it to the shower! We had such a nice time and got to visit with family and friends. We are all excitied to welcome you to the world Claire!

Hitting the tired phase again

This picture was taken at about 4 weeks pregnant. I had just finished climbing MT. St. Helens and I could barley move I was so tired. I couldn't figure out why I was so knocked out after that climb, a week later the pregnancy test answered that for me. I am starting to hit that tired phase everyone seems to get in the 3rd trimester. Every afternoon around 2pm I just want a nap. I still have 6 weeks left of work! I'm just hoping to not pass out face down on my desk.

Sleep: Good except I have a hard time getting back to sleep after each potty break
Movement: She has the hiccups a lot at night
Food cravings: Orange Juice (drinking gallons of it)

What I miss: Martinis
What I am looking forward to: Meeting my little one for the first time
Hardest part so far? Not being to do as much on my own. And I miss going on fire and aid calls for the fire dept. light duty is just plain boring.

Happy New Year and 32 weeks

32 weeks, I remember thinking that the 30's were so far away and here I am. It went so much faster than I thought. Now that the holidays are over preparing for baby is in full swing! Her room is painted, crib put togehter, new light fictures up, and new blinds and mattress are on order. My first baby shower is this weekend! Another first that happened over the holidays was I felt claire have the hiccups. such a funny feeling. she now has been getting them almost nightly. She likes to wake up and party in my stomach around 4:30am which I'm guessing she will continue once she's born. Also the marathon of dr. appointments has begun. every 2 weeks in January and then weekly in February. We are in the home stretch!

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We got to visit with lots of family. Christmas eve we spent with Adam's side of the family. We have our traditional Grandpa's fried chicken and watched Christmas vacation before unwrapping tones of presents. Even Claire got presents! On Christmas day we got to see Amy and her new Man for a starbucks date and then we met up with my family at my aunt terri's house. I was pretty tired by the time we got home that night. Adam got me the prettiest sapphire necklace to go with a pair of sapphire earrings I have. I guess the picture of me can count as my 31 week pregnancy photo.
