Riley learns...

Riley learned that being on the fire Dept. means getting a prank pulled on you at some point :) We used the fact that the power was out in three counties and told him the refinery exploded and that our pagers didnt work because of it and he needed to meet us at the station! Riley showed up got in the ambulance and was ready to go recover bodies... He was a good sport about it especially when we gave him ice cream.

Power outage and the refinery

A car accident knocked out power to 3 counties on thursday evening. The refineries were most affected. this is shells flare buring off... something?? Poor Adam got called into work around 6pm and had to work until 6am. He was one tired guy this morning.

Molly B

This is Sweet Little Molly B that we had to put to sleep because we found out she had liver cancer. She loved sleeping on the front porch wrapped in a blanket. She always looked forward to her walks down the property and teasing little Dax. She was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

Finished!

Tulip Run

Adam, Mary, and I did the tulip run on Saturday. It was a fun short 2 mile race. We averaged about 11 min miles. Not to impressive but hey we are not in high school anymore!

The Last Tree falls!

This is the site for our new Fire Dept. It doesn't look like much now but hopefully in 5 months it will be a shiny new station!

Hammer Training

This is just a small portion of the Hammer training facilities. on the left is the high angle tower, next to that is the confined space, and then the SCBA and search and rescue building, and then to the far right the burn building.

This sums up my weekend!

Almost Home

Inside the Tav. Dan has been 21 for a few months now and still had not had a Tav Burger so we had to take care of that!

The Tav!!!

Snoqualmie pass was not working with us this weekend. It tried to close on us on the way over and on the way back. So we made a little pit stop at the tav on the way home for a world famous Tav burger!

HAMMER

This weekend a few of us Hope Islanders went to the Hammer training facilities. All I can say is WOW what an awesome place. This place is a firefighters dream! This is a picture of Chris and Dan in the wee hours of the morning picking up some coffee before heading over to Hammer for some Haz-Mat training.
