So last night I decided to make some lemon bars for dessert. They had about 5 min left when the pager went off for "fire in a building" So we grabbed our stuff and ran to the station. Lucky for the home owners we got there in time to keep the flames contained to the deck and "C" side of the house. As we were riding back to the station I remembered "CRAP I have lemon bars in the oven" I ran back to the house to find a smoky kitchen and some black lemon bars. So many dinners have been ruined by the pager going off. This is the first time I forgot to turn the oven off. Lets hope its the last!
